Castor wheels come in various diameters and load capacities, depending on use. A bulky wardrobe for example might require heavy duty polycarbonate casters whereas a lightweight bedside cabinet or small bookcase would likely be much less demanding. Castor wheels are available with or without a brake, a swivel and some are more recessed than others.
Furniture legs and feet might lack mobility but they make up for it in strength and diverse usage. Adjustable levelling furniture feet are commonplace in the kitchen to achieve the optimum worktop height.
